Mission StatementTO SUPPORT SUCCESSFUL RE-ENTRY FROM PRISON AND TO PROMOTE ALTERNATIVES TO INCARCERATION, THUS STRENGTHENING THE FABRIC OF OUR COMMUNITIES.FOR THE TWELVE MONTH PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2016 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2017, THE FORTUNE SOCIETY PROVIDED LIFE-CHANGING SERVICES TO A TOTAL OF 7,047 CLIENTS, CONTINUING ITS MISSION TO SUPPORT SUCCESSFUL REENTRY FROM PRISON AND PROMOTE ALTERNATIVES TO INCARCERATION, THUS STRENGTHENING THE FABRIC OF OUR COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE FIVE BOROUGHS IN NEW YORK CITY. USING A HOLISTIC APPROACH, WE DELIVER A COMPREHENSIVE ARRAY OF SERVICES, INFORMED AND IMPLEMENTED BY PROFESSIONALS WITH CULTURAL BACKGROUNDS AND LIFE EXPERIENCES SIMILAR TO THOSE OF OUR CLIENTS; THOSE SERVICES INCLUDE HOUSING, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH COUNSELING THROUGH OUR ALTERNATIVE TO INCARCERATION PROGRAMS AND LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE CLINICS, EMPLOYMENT AND EDUCATION SERVICES, FAMILY SERVICES THAT RE-CONNECT CLIENTS WITH LOVED ONES, PRE-RELEASE PLANNING AND BENEFIT ASSISTANCE.
