Organization Overview

Mission StatementGirls on the Run is a non-profit, community-based prevention program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running. Our curricula address all aspects of girls' development - their physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual well-being. GOTR of Northeast Florida creates life-changing experiences for all girls ages 8-11 by combining training for a 5K run with important life lessons that encourage healthy habits, self-esteem, positive thinking and an active lifestyle. The result is an awesome way of life for a new generation of girls! Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c3 organization whose mission is to "educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living."
