Mission StatementCHILDREN'S DAY NURSERY IS A PRIVATE, NON-PROFIT CHILDCARE AND PRESCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAM WHICH SEEKS TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST QUALITY CARE TO 118 CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO ATTEND OUR CENTER. WE PROVIDE FREE NJ PRESCHOOL (FORMERLY KNOWN AS "ABBOTT") AND WRAP-AROUND SERVICES TO 105 3 AND 4 YEAR OLD CHILDREN WHO LIVE IN THE CITY OF PASSAIC; AS WELL AS CHILDCARE SERVICES, ON A SLIDING FEE SCALE THAT IS REGULATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES TO 13 CHILDREN 2 1/2 TO 3 YEARS OF AGE. CHILDREN'S DAY ALSO PROVIDES AN ARRAY OF FREE CHILD AND PARENT SUPPORT SERVICES TO HELP IMPROVE THE COMPETENCY OF THOSE WITH DEMONSTRATED DELAYS, DISABILITIES AND SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL ISSUES OF CONCERN. SERVICES INCLUDE SPEECH AND COGNITIVE THERAPY; ART AND PLAY THERAPY; A WIDE VARIETY OF PARENTING EDUCATION AND SUPPORT PROGRAMS AS WELL AS CLINICAL GROUPS AND THERAPY FOR PARENTS.
